<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the wear of a retainer and a retainer support plate in a variable-displacement swash plate type compressor and noises emitted therefrom by lubricating their sliding portions. SOLUTION: A variable-displacement swash plate type compressor includes a retainer 53 fitted on a swash plate 10 for their relative rotation for supporting a plurality of shoes, and a retainer support plate 55 fixed to the boss part 10b of the swash plate 10 for supporting one side 53a of the retainer 53 in surface contact. The stroke of a piston is varied corresponding to a change in the tilted angle of the swash plate 10. The contact area of the retainer support plate 55 with the piston at its compression side portion is made smaller than that at its suction side portion.</p> |
