<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return new data such as a new version-up program, etc., to old data such as an old program, etc., by calculating old data based on difference data between stored new data and old data and storing old data which is calculated in place of new data. SOLUTION: Relating to an information center 1 as a data processor example, a CPU 11 of an encoder 10 which compresses and encodes video data from a video device 50 so as to output it reads the new program from a hard disk drive device(HDD) 30 when it is judged that the storage of the old program is instructed by an input from an input device 20 and also stores it in an RAM 13. Moreover, difference data stored in the HDD 30 together with the new program are read and stored in the RAM 13. Then, difference data in the RAM 13 are defrosted, the old program is calculated based on the difference data and the new program and the calculated old program is stored in HDD 30 in place of the new program.</p> |
