PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oral medicine, homogeneously containing a zinc compound, amino acid and copper compound in a specific ratio to supply zinc, the copper compound being present at a low molar concentration to afford a delicious copper supply which causes no unpleasant aftertaste, where the zinc is slowly and uniformly released when the medicine is orally consumed. SOLUTION: This oral zinc composition homogeneously contains (A) a zinc compound, e.g. zinc sulfate or zinc gluconate, (B) an amino acid, e.g. glycine, L-alanine, L-valine, D-isoleucine or D,L-lysine, and (C) a copper compound, e.g. cupric L-alaninate, carbonate, chloride, or citrate, in an amino acid/zinc and copper compound/zinc molar ratios of 2 to 20 and 0.1 to 0.01, respectively, to allow the zinc to be slowly and uniformly released when the composition is orally consumed. |
