PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for evaluating characteristics of solar battery cell by which the characteristics can be evaluated, without assembling such as attachment as a tab, etc., in a wrap-around type solar battery cell. SOLUTION: A solar battery cell with a structure such that an emitter electrode 2 and a base electrode 3 are provided on a light-receiving surface and its rear surface respectively, is placed on a stage 20 made of transparent body, in a manner that the light-receiving surface may be brought into contact with the stage 20. While the light-receiving surface is irradiated with an artificial solar light 6 through the stage 20 from the opposite side of a cell 1 of the stage 20, signals are obtained from the emitter electrode 2 and the base electrode 3. Thus, the cell 1 of a wrap-around type can be easily evaluated with respect to its electrical characteristic without assembling the cell 1. |
