<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a sufficiently high water cut off even when a cable is moved relatively to a protective pipe by winding a porous body communicated with the external surface on the front side of a filler and pushing a wire-like body in a pipe until the porous body gets in the pipe, and then, injecting a hydrophilic polymerization-setting liquid water cut-off agent into the porous body. SOLUTION: After a porous body 7 is wound around a cable 3, an external rubber packing 8 having a hole 8a and a metallic plate 9 having a hole 9a are successively put on the front side of the porous body 7. Then the cable 3 is pushed in a protective pipe 2 until the porous body 7 gets in a water stopping jig 4 and the outer peripheries of a filler 5 and the porous body 7 are closely brought into contact with the internal surface of the pipe 2. Successively, a very thin fluoroplastic injecting tube for injecting water cut-off agent is inserted into the pipe 2 through the hole 9a of the metallic plate 9 and the spaces among cables constituting the cable 3 are sealed by injecting a liquid water cut-off agent into the spaces. Then the porous material 7 is impregnated with the water cut-off agent by injecting the liquid water cut-off agent into the porous body 7.</p> |
