<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secondarily oxidize (burn) combustible high-temperature gas constituent that is burnt incompletely, and contrive to make the gas pollution-free by a method wherein a catalyst reaction zone, such as a plate type body (perforated plate or net), made of a metal, metallic oxide or ceramic, or powdered body layer and the like, is installed in a space from the upper part in a furnace to the inside of a flue. SOLUTION: A plate type body (perforated plate or net) or a powdered body Ct, constituted of a metal, a metallic oxide or ceramics, is installed in a flue Cp, the inlet port of the flue Cp or a ceiling part in a furnace immediately before the flue Cp. The plate type body or the powdered body Ct is operated in conjunction with a secondary combustion plate to complete the combustion (oxidizing) reaction of combustible high-temperature gas constituent, burnt incompletely. In this case, air, sent by pressure forcibly from a fan B1, is passed preferably an air injection tube N through a ventilating pipe P to heat the air to produce high-temperature air and, thereafter, is burnt on the surface of wastes D whereby the combustion (oxidizing) reaction is smoothed. Waste gas after the complete combustion is discharged from a chimney Cc through a cyclone Cs.</p> |
