<p>A compound comprising a target cell-specific portion and a directly or indirectly cytotoxic portion, characterised in that the target cell-specific portion recognises the target cell with high avidity. The cytotoxic portions of the compound may be a subunit of an oligomer, may contain a binding site for a small molecule, may be streptavidin, may be a dimeric ribonuclease or may be DNAse-I. The target cell-specific portion may comprise two or more binding sites for the target cell, may be an antibody or fragment thereof, or may be a ScFv. A compound suitable for cell agglutination, particularly haemagglutination.
