PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a surface emitting device whose light emitting surface can be brighter. SOLUTION: A surface emitting device 14 which makes a plane 24a emit, the light emitting surface of light guide 21, by the incident rays emitted from a light source 22 provide in opposite to an edge 21a on the light guide 21 for a plane face emitting through the edge 21a, is preconditioned. Setting the edge 21a of the light guide 21 diagonally, the center of light source 22 is positioned on the normal A of that edge 21. Hence, the most of light going into the edge 21a of the light guide 21 from the light source 22 does not travel straightly in parallel to the plane 24a and 24b of the light guide 21, thereby increasing the number of reflections of light on the plane 24a and 24b of the light guide 21. |
