PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a guide information being useful for health management by providing a pair of electrodes for applying electric current from a specified site of a living body and metering impedance from the applied electric current and electric voltage generated in the living body and to perform highly accurate measurement by using only the thumbs of both hands as sites for applying the electric current. SOLUTION: When this device is used, at first, an inputting mode is selected by a mode selecting switch 10 and information on the body of a subject such as height and wt. are inputted by using UP and DOWN buttons 11 and 12. Then, specified positions of both left and right sides of the device 1 are grasped by both hands 17 and 18 to bring palm parts from joint of the left and right thumbs to the wrists into contact with electrodes 5 and 6 for metering electric voltage and to bring belly side parts of the thumb fingers into contact with electrodes 7 and 8 for applying electric current. Under this condition, a switch for starting metering is operated and electric potential of body resistance between both hands generated by applied electric current is taken out through the electrodes 5 and 6 for metering electric voltage, and impedance is calculated from the taken-out signal, and body fat, water content, etc., of the body are operated and they are displayed on a displaying part 4. |
