PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photovoltaic element of a high conversion efficiency even the time of the use of a metal layer, which is high in reflectivity and causes a migration, by a method wherein a transparent layer consists of a single layer or a plurality of layers and the single layer or at least one layer of the plurality of the layers is formed into a transparent conductive film, which consists of Sn, Zn or O and is superior in acid resistance. SOLUTION: A transparent layer 103, which is transparent to light transmitted a photoactive semiconductor layer, has a proper electrical resistance and has the surface of a texture structure, is provided on a metal layer 102 and the layer 103 is made to function as a rear reflective layer along with the layer 102. By forming a single layer constituting the layer 103 or at least one layer of a plurality of layers constituting the layer 103 into a transparent conductive film (hereinafter referred to as a ZTO film), which consists of Sn, Zn or O and is superior in heat resistance, a photovoltaic element using such the very high-reflectivity metal layer as an Ag layer and a Cu layer, which cause a migration, can be formed into one, which is superior in a photoelectromotive force, because the ZTO film is superior in acid resistance compared with a ZnO film and is not a crystal film orienfated in one direction. |
