PRODUCTION OF ALPHA, BETA-UNSATURATED ETHER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain anα,β-unsaturated ether that is useful as a synthetic starting material for functional polymers and medicines in high selectivity with high conversion stably for a long period of time by using silica-magnesia as a catalyst. SOLUTION: In the presence of (A) silica-magnesia [for example, heat-treated at 250-700 deg.C with a magnesium content of 5-90wt.%, referably 7-70wt.%], (B) a compound of the formula [R1 , R2 and each H, a 1-8C (branched) alkyl, a (substituted) alkenyl (Z1 ), a (substituted) alkynyl (Z2 ), a (substituted) cycloalkyl (Z3 ), a (substituted) aryl (Z4 ); R3 , R4 are each a 1-10C alkyl, Z1 , Z2 , Z3 and Z4 ] are catalytically decomposed in vapor phase, for example, at 150-450 deg.C.
