PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform the recording/erasure of visible image and to attain miniaturization and compaction by keeping the erasure temperature of rewritable recording medium while referring to an environmental temperature and a pattern recorded in a storage means. SOLUTION: An erasure control means 36 reads data (correction data) stored in a storage means 38 concerning the duty of current in erasure mode through a control part 31. At this time, the correction data are prepared for correcting the lowered component of erasure temperature caused by the constitutive material of rewritable recording medium or the area of contact with the rewritable recording medium in advance. Further, a 1st temperature detecting means 39a outputs a 2nd temperature signal from temperature information measured by a thermistor provided at a thermal head 15 so as to measure the environmental temperature and inputs the 2nd temperature signal to the erasure control means 36. While respectively referring to the correction data from the storage means 38 and the 2nd temperature signal, the erasure control means 36 determines the duty of current in erasure mode. |
