PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the memory capacity of a memory for working to be used in a process for forming plotted data. SOLUTION: The overlapped area of a graphic C and the outline (MASK(D)) of a graphic D plotted after the graphic C is extracted, the edge list of an area (Cand-MASK(D)) obtained by removing the overlapped area from the graphic C is generated, and the edge list of the graphic C is updated by the edge list of the generated area (Cand-MASK(D)). The area (Cand-MASK(D)) is not overwritten by graphics B and A to which an edge list reducing processing is operated afterwards so that the edge list of the graphic C can be decided at that point. Thus, it is not necessary to provide the generated edge list to a memory for working, and it is possible to release the memory area of the memory for working in which the edge list is stored before the completion of the preparation of the edge lists of the whole graphics. |
