摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling a change in output of an internal lean combustion engine which can prevent a delay in ignition timing and an increased change in output. SOLUTION: A fuel injection valve 11 is arranged near the inner wall of a cylinder head 4 near the first intake valve 6a and the second intake valve 6b of an engine and the fuel from the fuel injection valve 11 is injected directly into a cylinder la. An electronic control unit (ECU) 30 controls the fuel injection valve 11 to increase the amount of injection of fuel in response to an increased change in output detected by a crank angle sensor 28. The ECU 30 delays an ignition timing of an engine according to the frequency and magnitude of knocking detected by a knocking sensor 63 and, when the delayed angle exceeds a predetermined amount, it prevents the amount of injection of fuel from being increased by the fuel injection valve 11.
