摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect gas leaks occurred at a plurality of places and their location by measuring the returning time of pulse signal from a switch changed to a closed state to the pulse occurrence side, and by particularizing the switch changed to a closed state from the time measured. SOLUTION: When a gas density switch 4a' has turned ON due to a change in gas pressure after the occurrence of gas leakage, the signal lines 2 and 3 makes a continuity at the place of gas leakage. Because of this, inspection pulses return to the master monitoring device 1A through the gas density switch 4a' and signal line 3. Then, a timer 1b outputs time ta [ns] measured by the inspection pulses returned to a location converter 1c, and the occurrence of gas leak is detected from the return time of inspection pulses. The location converter 1c calculates 1a=ta/(c*2) (where, c = velocity of light) and the distance 1a from a gas insulated equipment 4 where the gas leak occurred to the master monitoring device 1A is calculated.</p>
