PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a grinding automatizing device by moving a concrete block with the surface to be ground vertical, and bringing the surface to be ground of the concrete block into contact with the outer peripheral surface of a grinding roller, the outer peripheral surface of which is vertical to be ground. SOLUTION: A chain conveyer 9 has a chain which is endlessly wrapped and rotated, and a hook is erected from a plate provided on the outside thereof. When a block 1 on a first block receiving table 5 is fed onto the chain conveyer 9 by a pusher 6, the hook is engaged with a web of the block 1 to transport the block by the chain conveyer 9. One side surface of the transported block 1 is ground by a grinder 15. The grinder 15 includes a grinding roller 16 arranged in such a manner that the outer peripheral surface is vertical, and the grinding roller 16 is brought into contact with one side surface of the block 1 to grind the side surface. At this time, the block 1 is pressed to the grinding roller 16 side by a pressing roller 18.
