The present invention relates to a cleaner for building windows (24), comprising a gondola (22) suspended by cables, on which components required for cleaning, such as a cleaning head (23), a cleaning head drive etc., are mounted. The gondola is provided with a number of holding tracks (1) made of an endless strip (8) on free wheels (4), which includes a plurality of bowl-shaped compartments (15) opened outward. Some of the compartments are located in the area of a guiding sheet (9) metal linked to an uplift-pressure source (18). When idle or in an upward or downward movement, the holding track exerts through that link a suction effect on the building front, so that it is prevented from undesired swinging due for instance to a wind surge. |
