The road data is put together by measurement relative to an outer reference system of road parameters, such as distance, cross profile, cross profile side position relative to the reference system, longitudinal profile, degree of slope, cross fall and curvature. The method involves linking together and arranging in order in a data base road data from the measurement of different road parameters and different road segments, so that topographical information is put together for the full road width and length. With the aid of a data programme and topographical data from the data base, a plan is made for restoring the road geometry. Digital output data is created from the planning and fed to an electronic data carrier. The data is then transferred from the data carrier to electronic control devices for automatically controlling a process which restores the road geometry. |
