PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out the detection of ball bad assembly of a constant velocity universal joint accurately without generating an error detection even in a long period of use. SOLUTION: This ball bad assembly detecting device is burnished with a lighting means 2, a luminous energy sensor 3, and a deciding means 14. The lighting means 2 radiates the light from one side to the clearance between the inner and the outer wheels 21 and 22, to a constant velocity universal joint 20 made by assembling balls 23 between the inner and the outer wheels 21 and 22, and the luminous energy sensor 3 detects the leaking amount of the light leaking from between the balls 23 inserted in an inner wheel 1 to the axial axis side. The deciding means 14 decides whether a specific number of balls 23 are input or no by comparing the output of the luminous energy sensor 3 with a set value. |
