The present invention refers to a surfactant additive which favors the de-emulsification process of crude oil in storage tanks and which presents a high efficiency to carry out its dehydration before proceeding to its refinement. Said additive contains up to a 20 percent in weight of two surfactants of the polymerized polyol type with relative numbers of solubility RSN at an interval of 5 to 7 until 40 percent in weight of a nonyl fenol alcoxylated resin with RSN at an interval of 14 to 16 and until a 60 percent in weight of a dissolvent constituted by an aromatic hydrocarbon mixture.
