An apparatus with a housing including side walls (2b-2c) that are perpendicular to the back wall (2a) and have curved openings (2g), and at least one cam-shaped projection (9) located at the rear end of each curved opening. A flexible shaped plate (11) is pivotably mounted opposite each of the walls (2b-2c) and provided with a retractable pin (12) facing the housing wall for engaging, projecting through or disengaging from said curved opening as the plate is bent, and the lower portion of the pin is movably engageable with the projection (9) on the facing wall during the roll loading process. The plate resiliently snaps back at the end of the loading process. The pin (12) has a much smaller diameter than the mandrel. Said loading device may be used on any kind of paper towel dispensing apparatus. |
