FIELD: mineral concentration by flotation method; may be in coarse-grained flotation of metalliferous and nonmetaliferrous raw materials. SUBSTANCE: method has flotation cell, slit-like screening surface, appliance for supply of grain feed to fluid surface, branch pipe for discharge of cell product, receiving launder. Cell has cone-shaped vessel with water supply branch pipe and with slit outlet over base perimeter directed towards receiving launder. Cone-shaped vessel is located along cell axis with its vertex downward and its base found at the level of cell upper edge. Appliance for supply of grain feed to fluid surface is made in the form of hollow cone and supplying funnel coaxially located on base of cone-shaped vessel. Side wall of cone is smoothly conjugated with slit-like screening surface. The latter is slightly inclined towards receiving launder. Hollow cone accommodates successively arranged from bottom upward: receiver for compressed air and header for pressure water, both having, respectively, air- and water-supplying branch pipes and slit outlets over perimeter of their bases. Slit outlet from receiver for compressed air is directed to under slit-like screening surface towards receiving launder, and slit outer from header for pressure water is directed downward along cone side wall.
