FIELD: mechanical engineering; finishing workpieces. SUBSTANCE: composite grinding wheel has body in the form of face plate 1 with radial slots and coarse- grained abrasive layer on periphery, flange 2 coaxial relative to body provided with wheel balancing members, as well as members with fine-grained abrasive layer placed in slots of body for radial displacement and provided with mechanism for their radial displacement. Flange 2 is arranged so that it comes in contact with members 6 having fine-grained abrasive layer for guiding them; radial displacement mechanism of mentioned members is built up of annular permanent magnet 3 made of ferromagnetic material, central distance ring 4, leaf disk spring 5 fixed to the latter through its base, and reset spring 7 placed between disk spring and wheel body. All these parts are installed on face plate in tandem, on inner side of flange 2. Electromagnet 8 is placed beyond body on opposite side relative to flange; leaves of disk spring are fixed on their periphery to members carrying fine-grained layer. EFFECT: improved design. 3 dwg
