<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal extractor which can be operated under a stable condition by preventing a vacuum state produced by air entrainment to form a gas-liquid boundary face or a liquid-liquid boundary face, provides large pump action whereby centrifuged liquids in two phases are easy to take out; and eliminates the fear of mixing of a solution with the centrifuged liquids. SOLUTION: A hollow hole 22 and conducting holes 23, 24 that communicate the aqueous-solution-phase W side to the solvent-phase T side are formed in the rotating shaft 3 of a rotor 2, so that the aqueous-solution-phase side and the solvent-phase side can be held at equal pressures to form a stable gas-liquid boundary face for stable operation of a centrifugal extractor 20. A guide vane 31 is provided on the upper surface of the bottom of a casing 1 to permit large pump action for mixed solutions and to allow the separated liquids to be taken out easily. Further, a retaining plate 41 is provided at the upper end of the casing 1 to retain the mixed solutions that are raised by centrifugal forces, thereby preventing the mixed solutions from mixing with the separated liquids.</p> |
