The endo-prosthesis comprises an elongate support wire. A number of modules are supported on the support wire at sequential locations along the support wire. Each module is connected to the support wire by a connector secured to the module and attached to the support wire. Each module defines a closed circumferential loop. The modules are arranged on the support wire to define a tubular configuration. The modules are constructed to be expandable from a radially contracted configuration in which it can be positioned in the body lumen to a radially expanded configuration.
