PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the equipment management terminal equipment to surely reply an incoming call from a center computer even when an ancillary facsimile terminal connects to a public telephone line. SOLUTION: In the equipment management system where a facsimile equipment (FAX) 2 is provided as an ancillary equipment and the equipment management terminal equipment 1 that sends various data of a managed equipment 3 to a center computer 4 at a remote place via a public telephone line 13 is provided, the equipment management terminal equipment 1 has a FAX connection switch 9 connecting the public telephone line 13 to the ancillary facsimile equipment 2, a data communication modem 5 and an off-hook/on-hook switch detector 12 detecting an off-hook/on-hook of the FAX 2. The equipment management terminal equipment 1 connects the ancillary FAX 2 to the public telephone line 13 when the off-hook/on-hook detector 13 detects an off-hook and disconnects the modem 5 from the public telephone line 13. |
