PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check whether or not the change of credit information is absent based on the telephone number of a customer each time the customer uses an automatic transaction device by a means capable of simple and quick automatic execution in a computer system. SOLUTION: A data base managing means retrieves the customer file of a customer ID in response to the operation of an automatic transaction device, the input of the customer ID, and the start of a transaction processing, obtains the telephone number of the customer, and transfers it to an investigating means. The investigating means defines the received telephone number as an incoming number, and transmits a 'call setting' message designating unlimited digital information as a transmitting capability to a network. When this call is not accepted, a 'disconnection' message is transferred from the network, and the content of the reason display is 'absence of the number', the invalidity of the telephone number is communicated to a credit information managing means. |
