PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate handling of styles having the same character form and different in thickness and to obtain a printing result avoiding the crushing of a character without making correction of the style by the user for each character by dividing the specification of a style into character form and thickness at the time of preparing a document. SOLUTION: A character pattern storing means 11 stores a character pattern of a style having a different character form corresponding to a character form specification code and stores a character pattern of a style having the same character form and different thickness corresponding to a thickness specification code. At the time of receiving a style conversion instruction from an input part 3, a style specification means 12 divides a style into a character shape and thickness, and while referring to the storing means 11, inserts a character shape specification code or a thickness specification code into an instructed character string. When the specification code is the character specification code, a style specification converting means 13 converts the character pattern into a style having the same thickness and the specified character form, and in the case of the thickness specification code, converts the character pattern into a style having the same form and the specified thickness. |
