<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste disposal plant wherein burned ash discharged from various plants each using coal or petroleum as a fuel is made harmless and is reduced in its amount, and further valuable metals are recovered. SOLUTION: In a waste disposal plant for processing burned ash discharged from plants such as a thermal power station, an urban refuse incineration plant, or a sewage disposal incineration plant all using coal or petroleum as a fuel, there are provided a high temperature reaction part 1 for high temperature decomposion of burned ash with thermal plasma and reducing gas, and a metal trap 4 for selectively recovering metals reduced in a high temperature reaction part 1 to hereby recover metal components contained in burned ash. Accordingly, in a high temperature field of thermal plasma, a reduction reaction with reducing gas is promoted, and hence metal reduced in a vary short time is produced, and the resulting harmful metals and valuable metals are selectively recovered, and a remaining ash fraction becomes melted slag, and hence the burned ash is made harmless and reduced in its volume and amount.</p> |
