摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a speed and distance measuring apparatus in which the complicatedness of an installing and wiring operation can be reduced by a method wherein an accelerometer, a time measuring part, a control part and a display part are housed inside one enclosure. SOLUTION: In a speed and distance measuring apparatus 5, all constituent blocks such as an accelerometer 1, a control part 2, a time measuring part 3 and a display part 4 are housed inside one enclosure. The accelerometer 1 senses and measures an acceleration when the accelerometer itself is moved, it outputs information on the acceleration to the control part 2, and it outputs a sensing signal to the measuring part 3. When the measuring part 3 receives the sensing signal, it starts to measure the time, and it outputs information on the measured time always to the control part 2. The control part 2 computes a speed and a movement distance on the basis of the information on the acceleration from the accelerometer 1 and on the basis of the information on the time from the measuring part 3, and it outputs a computed result to the display part 4. The display part 4 converts the computed result into an analog or digital display so as to be displayed. Consequently, the measuring apparatus 5 can be installed easily, a complicated operation such as a wiring operation or the like is reduced sharply, and the apparatus can be conveyed and carried easily.
