A control system for first and second air intake regulating shutters (10, 11) comprises two levers (19, 20) which rotate about pivots (I, J) on the two shutters and are connected by a drive which opens one shutter as the other closes, and vice versa. The drive is in the form of a bar (13) with its two ends (15, 16) connected to the levers (19, 20) by pivots with parallel axes. When the first shutter (10) is open and the second one (11) is closed the bar (13) and the first lever (19) lie in a straight line end to end, while the second lever (20) lies almost perpendicular to the bar. When the first shutter is closed and the second one is open the relative positions of the bar and levers are reversed. In each position the closed shutter is unaffected by outside influences. |
