<p>The component has at least one supple elastic element (8) connected to rigid supports (91, 92) with hooks (7). The elastic element is in the form of an endless band of an elastomer material, e.g. silicone, passing round freely-rotating guide pulleys (19) attached to the supports so that sections of the band lie parallel to the supports. The component can be rectangular in shape to provide tension in two directions, or polygonal with more than two hooked supports to provide a multilateral tension.</p> |
