PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the color reproduction data conversion method in which actual print adaptability, stability and K-form plate generating condition as to an object image are set automatically from 3-dimension colometric data without an experimental skill of the user and 4-dimension color reproduction data separated into four colors optimum to 4-color printing are obtained simply while keeping an equi-color condition from the standpoint of colorimetry. SOLUTION: A K form plate control variable including at least a K form plate replacement variable and a K-form plate maximum limit variable is set to an optimum value based on print stability with respect to image analysis data including at least a gray histogram obtained in advance by an experiment and the optimum K form plate control variable is used for a parameter to reflect it on a K form plate binding condition so as to set the K-form plate binding condition, and mapping from 3-dimension colorimetric data into cyan, magenta, yellow(CMY) 3-dimension color reproduction data is obtained by the successive approximation or the minimized error method by using a 4-3 forward normal grating map function and the 3-dimension colorimetric data are converted into CMYK 4-dimension color reproduction data while keeping the equi-color condition. |
