SUBSTANCE: method deals with investigation of biological material for the presence of fluorescenting cells, at the same time it is necessary to obtain unicellular suspension of pulmonary cells followed by its treatment with 5,10,15,20 - tetrakis/4 - carboxyphenyl porphine for a period of time sufficient to catch its considerable quantity by malignant pulmonary cells, then treated cellular suspension should be kept under ultraviolet irradiation to detect malignant pulmonary cells according to the presence of fluorescenting cells. To treat pulmonary cancer it is necessary to introduce radioactive isotope and porphyrine derivative into a body, namely, the complex of: <SP>67</SP>CuCu 5,10,15,20 - tetrakis/4 - carboxyphenyl porphine.
