The hospital bed has a sub frame (1) with a head support (3) that is adjustable in relation to it. There is a mattress support (4) and between the main frame and the sub frame, two parallel jointed supporting arms are mounted. The height and depth adjustment may be worked with a first actuator (22) between the sub frame and one of the arms.The second actuator is movable between both of the arms in the parallel plane. The mattress support may be a back surface (5) and a leg surface and is mounted opposite the frame. The hinge between the back surface and the frame is mounted in the gap from the separation between the back surface and the leg surface
