The fixing element, designed to hold a baby's legs apart and hips in the flexion-abduction position while its nappy is being changed, consists of a bar (1) with half-rings (3) on its two ends and 'Velcro' (RTM) fastening strips (4). The bar can be made in one piece or in two sections connected by a screw adjuster, and can be of a rigid or supple material, such as aluminium, plastics, polyester resin, injection moulded or synthetic foam. The half rings can also be lined with foam for extra comfort.
