PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a water sealing device for preventing the leak of fluid from a gap between the main shaft of a water turbine and the cover of the water turbine as being capable of balancing a pressure difference or ensuring water supply to a water supply groove for stable sliding property. SOLUTION: A water sealing device which has a sleeve 2 fixed to a main shaft 1 consists of layers of water sealing units, each of which is provided with a circular packing 5 arranged on the outer periphery of the sleeve 2, gutter spring 6 to always thrust the packing to the center of the main shaft and packing cases 8, 8a, 8b to store them. Gap areas which are constituted by the outer periphery side of an exit, the inner periphery side of the packing case and the circular packing are differentiated for every layer. |
