PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring controller which never causes a system down when a monitoring control panel has its on fault. SOLUTION: If a bus interface panel BINT15-1 has a fault, a message signal is sent to a central control panel CP11-1. When the fault is recognized, the panel CP11-1 switches the control of a front panel to a bus interface panel BINT15-2. The panel BINT15-2 uses the slot state information on every shelf stored in a standby area instead of the data stored in a RAM and carries on the monitoring and control of a system. The panel BINT15-1 serves as a standby panel. At the same time, the addresses of the standby area and the RAM area are dynamically switched to each other. A local memory 15a-1 of the panel BINT15-1 and a local memory 15a-2 of the panel BINT15-2 share a memory area which stores the state information data. |
