CHECK IMAGE COMPRESSING METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check image compressing method/device which can effectively compress a reference image and a check image via an image check device without deteriorating so much the picture quality. SOLUTION: A reference image is converted into the estimation error information at an estimation error calculation part 11, undergoes the variable length encoding via a variable length encoding part 13 and is stored in a storage part 14. An image difference calculation part 12 extracts the difference between the reference image and a check image, and this difference information undergoes the variable length encoding via the part 13 and is stored in the part 14 as a difference image.
