PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent printing quality without the omission of printing by providing a pretransfer electrifier between 1st and 2nd developing devices. SOLUTION: By using an electrifier 2 used for first electrification as a member for performing second electrification, reelectrification is performed. By using an exposure device 3 used for the first exposure as a member for performing second exposure, an electrostatic latent image for a developed image of a second color is formed. The electrostatic latent image is developed on a photoreceptor 1 by the 2nd developing device 5 by using the developer including toner having the same polarity as the first color toner and the color different therefrom as the developer of the second color. At such a time, the 1st developing device 4 is separated from the photoreceptor 1 and the 2nd developing device 5 is made to approach the photoreceptor 1 by a retractor mechanism. Thereafter, the developer of the second color developed on the photoreceptor 1 approaches the pretransfer electrifier 8 and the toner developed on the photoreceptor 1 is electrified by the electrifier 8. Therefore, pretransfer electrification is finished without rupturing and scattering the toner on the photoreceptor 1. |
