<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to recognize the detailed information on an equipment by generating a display icon which shows the equipment with combination of icons corresponding to plural subunits and displaying the equipment on a screen. SOLUTION: When an equipment has plural subunits, a display control means generates an icon which combines the icons corresponding to those subunits and displays the equipment on a screen. For instance, an equipment connected to a 1394-bus 6 and its constitution are displayed on a monitor screen by means of the generated icons of every equipment. In other words, a a 1st VTR 3 and a 2nd VTR 4 consist of a VTR subunit and a tuner subunit respectively. Therefore, the icons showing both VTR 3 and 4 are generated with combination of subunit icons corresponding to the VTR subunits.</p> |
