PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of increasing a correcting accuracy of surface potential detecting means, and stably maintaining not only the image quality at the usual time but also the image quality with the lapse of time. SOLUTION: The image forming device, provided with means for detecting a surface potential of the image carrier 12 and a high constant voltage element 91 connected between the image carrier 12 and a grounding side, switches the output voltage of bias voltage applying means 85 from developing means 23a to 26a side to the image carrier 12 side while makes the output voltage of the bias voltage applying means 85 variable by switching so as to detach the image carrier 12 from the grounding side by switch controlling means 90. |
