摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize image transmission even for a monitor control system utilizing a low speed channel by reducing a data quantity of differential image to be sent through a communication channel and enhancing a differential efficiency to generate the differential image. SOLUTION: Memories 105, 115 store same still images as a transmitter A1 and a receiver B1 as a reference image. The transmitter A1 takes a difference between a newest image received from a television camera 101 and the reference image to generate a difference image, and the processing to reduce a data quantity for each pixel is made, the image compression by the joint photographic experts group(JPEG) system is conducted to send the data to a communication line L1. The receiver B1 applies image expansion and decoding processing by the JPEG system to the received image to decode a differential image and the differential image is added to the reference image to reproduce a newest image and it is displayed on a CRT 118.</p>
