The adjuster has a bolt (4) or sleeve with one or more threaded sections and at each end also has an engagement point (6) for a screw driver. The bolt or sleeve can be formed as a threaded rod which fits into a bore or internally threaded sleeve of the component part which is to be adjusted. A support part (18) or similar is held at one end of the bolt or sleeve where it can rotate about its centre axis (15) but is secured against axial displacement. The engagement points at the ends of the bolt or sleeve can be designed identical or different for various screw driving tools.
