Floor covering, containing at least one elastomer (I) based on a polyolefin with a density of less than 0.918 g/cm<3> as polymeric binder. Also claimed is production of the floor covering. Preferably elastomer (I) is polyethylene or a copolymer of ethylene with other olefin(s), preferably with a density of 0.86-0.87 g/cm<3>.
