Motor vehicle automatic clutch control method with limiting position detection
摘要

The automatic clutch is controlled by the various parameters in the power train and has a programmed point at which the clutch starts to bite. When the clutch is engaged it is rapidly moved to the bite position and from there is progressively engaged to control the torque uptake without undue torque shocks. The control monitors the time taken to fully engage the clutch and compares this with programmed values to determine what, if any, correction is to be made to the bite position. If the time to full clutch engagement is less than the programmed value then the clutch bite point is shifted in the direction of disengaged clutch, and vice versa for longer times. The continuous adjustment in the programmed bite position provides a smooth clutch control with a minimum of delay time.
