The torque determination system has at least two elements accommodated in a frame or a housing as drive and driven elements (108,118) connected across an elastic medium. One sensor at least determines the rotation of the least two elements against each other, and an evaluation unit is connected with the sensor. The evaluation unit evaluates the rotation occurring between the elements, for determining the torque transmitted across the drive and/or the driven element, is arranged in the gearbox (104) as a component part of the gearbox. The first element arranged in the gearbox is a drive pinion (108). The other element is a wheel (118), with a dia. essentially identical to that to the drive pinion (108) of a worm drive.
