The piano consists of a housing (1), a keyboard (5) and an action (6) which is arranged inside the housing and is operable by the keyboard. A tone set (7) is also arranged inside the housing for generating the sound. The keyboard, action and the tone set, or some of them, are developed as a single module (2) which is detachably connected to the housing. The housing has a back side wall (4), by which is closable, so that the module can be inserted in the housing. The module may be adapted so as to be playable outside the housing and is provided with a quick coupling for being fixed into the housing. The module may have a cast steel frame with a floor board (21) where a wooden foot is formed.
