The crushing device consists of a casing with a filling hopper, a crushing space below the hopper having a closing bottom with a side shearing edge and a driven rotor (8) with crushing tools (7). The shearing edge (6) can be moved towards the rotor. It may possibly be mounted on a sliding bottom plate. The shearing edge may be mounted on a special plate (11) which can be moved along the bottom plate. There may be a drive (15) to move the shearing edge, which may be elastically supported.
