The guide sleeve (18) homes for most of its axial length in a recess in the hinge plate (22) let into the door-facing side of the base (19) on its door-side boundary face. When axially inserted, the sleeve (18) is positively held in by friction or force but can otherwise by released from the recess. Both sleeve and plate recess have off-round mutually complementary sectors to obtain this positive fixing of the sleeve on the cabinet etc body in the recess in certain azimuthal positions. Thus the plate recess interior presents a regular polygon as compared with the sleeve whose exterior is contoured to match the inside of the recess. When using a preferably hexagonal recess interior, a plane of symmetry joining its two diametrically opposing angles runs parallel to the plane of the framed door opening. In this case, the central guide sleeve (18) is arranged so that the central axis of its guide hole lies in a plane of symmetry joining into two diametrically opposed angle edges. The hinge plate (22) is held positively in place by means of two fixer screws (129) engaging conformably circular holes (109,111) passed through the plate (22).
